Waterfalls in India- Holding your breath for a moment

India is not just about the historical monuments but it is also packed with natural beauty like beaches of Goa, backwaters in Kerala and mounts of Ladakh. And then you can find some astonishing waterfalls which are in complete rock during the monsoon season. Waterfalls have been a place of attraction for nature enthusiasts. A waterfall is generally shaped when the water of the river drops sharply over a rock face. The flowing water generally falls from a long distance and with a huge force. These waterfalls are not only stimulating geographical things but also enhance the Indian tourism value. Some are stated as UNESCO sites. Here, I mentioned some practically visited waterfalls which are popular in India:

Jog Falls (Karnataka)                   

 Karnataka has number of waterfalls in India but Jog falls is one of the most highest and spectacular waterfalls in India. You can about feel the power of it next to the rocks.  

Dudhsagar Falls (Goa)                           

 Dudhsagar accurately falls down from an elevation of 310m at Mollem, Goa; it seems not anything short of milky water.  When it pours down with full swing, it packs the place quite force.

  

Kune Falls (Maharashtra)                   

 Maharashtra is an economical city of India and person can explore waterfalls near Lonavala and khandala as these areas are blessed with some beautiful waterfalls at the time of monsoon season.  Kune falls is leading the list.

Hogenakkal Falls (Tamil Nadu)       

This pretty waterfall is situated in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. It is a great tourist charms of the region and also somewhere disease curative assets.

Athirapally Falls (Kerala)       

Kerala is full of natural beauty and Athirapally falls, Thrissur in Kerala is a great place to gaze the beauty of “god’s own country”. It is a gem of the Kerala which can be seen in full force at the time of rainy season and presents a breathtaking sight to behold.
